I understand this has been brought up many of times but, still no luck here.
I'm running vista ultimate and i have done all the things required to try to fix this issue. I will go into details on how i did it and let me know if i may of missed anything:

R click on lower tab
go to properties
go to notification area
under icons, hide inactive icons is checked.
Clicked on customs and envelope isn't under the current items
it's under the PAST ITEMS and to the right of the envelope it changed it to SHOW.
It used to be as HIDE WHEN INACTIVE.
I tried both and still doesn't work either way. Any other suggestion or did microsoft get rid of this feature?

Thanks for your attention and hope it's a easy fix that I may of overlooked.

That has already been check off when i when there. I double checked after you responded and, Show an envelope icon in the notification area was checked. Thats why I'm stumped on this. Do you think they took this feature out for good in MS?
