| vista ultimat 64 bit | office 2007 and exchange account Hi, I have a strange problem with my Vista Ultimate 64 bit. After installing outlook 2007 I opened and closed it. But when I went to control panel I didn’t find the icon for e-mail. I need that access to connect to my exchange account at work. What might have gone wrong, and hove do I fix it? thanks for any help |

| Vista Ultimate 64-bit, SP2 | Re: office 2007 and exchange account I suggest you contact MS Office Tech. Support via phone. I had a similar problem, contacted them & via remote access a very efficient female tech. in India corrected this annoyance. [as I watched fascinated.] It took quite a bit of fiddling. | vista ultimat 64 bit | Re: office 2007 and exchange account Hi, JMH. Thanks for your replay. My English isn’t so good that I can call someone on the phone and speak this language. I’m struggling just to write it. Actually I solved the problem yesterday by reading some of the earlier cases in this forum: http://www.vistax64.com/vista-mail/79941-no-mail-icon-control-panel.html I didn’t find the icon though, but I was able to add the exchange account in outlook by following the advice in that tread. What I exactly did was to right click the outlook icon at the top of the start menu and than choose properties from the menu that pops out. I was then able to add a new account in outlook. I have also found these answers to the subject. http://thevistaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=17290 http://helpdeskgeek.com/windows-vista-tips/cannot-find-mail-in-control-panel/ http://www.msoutlook.info/question/123 Hope this helps other with similar problems in vista 64bit. Thanks again. |
