| vista ultimate x64 | Transfer of Outlook Calender I have a new computer with Vista 64bit installed. My old computer is XP. The problem I have is with my Outlook Calendar and Contacts. I exported my calender and contacts has a pst to my external HD. I tried to import the files to my Outlook to the new computer, excess denied, you do not have permission. How do I give permission to excess these files. The old Office is 2003 and the new is Office 2007. Thank you in advance. John |

| vista ultimate x64 | Re: Transfer of Outlook Calender I used the export to file from O 2003. I tried both pst and excel. I tried to import to O 2007 using import from the file drop-down I was administer in both computers. I was able to import from my laptop O2003 okay, but my contacts and calender are missing some contacts and appointments that I had on the desktop. I downloaded my document file to an external drive. The download went fine except for permission on the outlook files. Weird. I just transferred the files to a flash stick from the laptop. I wouldn't think there would be any difference between and external drive and flash stick. I hope I wasn't to confusing. John |

| vista ultimate x64 | Re: Transfer of Outlook Calender My problem has been corrected. I moved the calender and contact files (.pst) from my external hard drive via a flash stick onto the internal drive of my computer. They did then opened up in Outlook 2007. I sill don't know why I couldn't get permission to migrate the files from my external drive. I may never know. Thanks JMH for your help. John |
