Hello Riptorn,
Re Word 2007.
For Font
Make sure you are on the Home Tab - click on Font - Click on this icon to open up the Font Dialogue Box.
The Font dialogue box is where you choose your default font for Word 2007. To select a font, just click on it from the Font list. If you are unsure which font to use, just click on the font and look at the Preview pane located at the bottom of the Font dialogue box. The preview pane will show you what the selected font looks like.
When you have selected your preferred font style, you just need to set the selections as your default font for Word 2007. To do this, all you have to do is click on the Default button that is located at the bottom left corner of the Font dialogue box.

For Page. Go to the Page Lay Out Tab - bottom right hand corner click Page Set Up.[ Where you should be able to set the default that you want.]
Hope that helps you.

Riptorn

Normal template is likely to be damaged. Go to the Troubleshooting section of this link : How to troubleshoot damaged documents in Word 2007 and follow the steps of Method 2 for Windows Vista. This should fix your issue.

Riptorn,
Sinclair has provided good sound advice for the next step to try to narrow down why this problem is happening.
Post back results.

Re: Default In Word 2007

This is just from memory, but I THINK if you delete normal.dot, it will automatically create a new one with default. Just to be safe, move normal.dot to desktop.

This should do it -
Change zoom level - Custom setting - Custom zoom - 100 - ok
