Double Click won't open email message/icons

I use 2007 microsoft outlook and am unable to open my email by double clicking. It does open by left/click/open. I also noticed when I opened control panel to check my system, the double click would not work and I got an alert tone each time I tried.

Note, my family has 3 separate identities set up on this computer and this problem is only occuring under my identity. The other two identities do not experience this problem at all. Thanks!

Might be a mouse setting or driver. what hardware do you have?

Re: Double Click won't open email message/icons

you might have to reset the double click speed.
Go to Control Panel, type in search 'mouse properties' (if you have a mouse manufacturer icon in the taskbar, do right click and open pointer properties)
open up the mouse properties, go to the 'buttons' tab and see take a look at the double clicking speed. choose the ideal speed for yourself.

Hope this helps you out,
