HL

without the key its a 30 day trial. You can contact microsoft to replace it. You just have to have the purchase information

Re: product key

Hello Hlove, and welcome to Vista Forums.

If this is a Microsoft Word that cam preinstalled on a store bought computer (OEM), then it most likely is only a trial version for 60 to 90 days before you must purchase a key for it. The Vista product key number is not the same key number, and cannot be used to activate Microsoft Word.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Re: product key

Hi Hlove, if it is as Shawn says (preinstalled trial) on your operating ststem there should be when you selsect MS Office from the Start Menu what is called "Office Activation Assistant" if you go online & follow the steps once you have registered it will give you a product key for your trial period, hope this helps
