I notice that the Snooze option on reminders in Outlook 2007 always seems to default to 5 minutes the first time it comes up. If I change it to something else, then subsequent snooze options show the new entry as the default so it then works as I want until I shutdown (usually - sometimes it changes to 0.5 days the second time and when I correct that it then seems to work fine from then on).

i'd like to change Snooze to default to 2 hours on the FIRST occurrence so I can just push the Snooze button rather than needing to adjust the timeframe every time (I use it to keep track of time and for my medicine and have a reminder set for every day for the entire day - plus other reminders as well but those I'm less concerned about as the snooze time I'd want would vary - but if that too could be set by specific reminder that would be excellent) even if it is only the first time (and sometimes the second time as well) for every reminder. But I've looked and looked and I can find no controls for this default - in Outlook or even in the registry (though I admit it may be in the registry but hidden under some code name or key I don't recognize with a value that isn't 5 minutes but some code).

Anyone have any suggestions or ideas on how to adjust this or is this hard-coded and not capable of being configured?

Thanks, Tom982 - for the information and taking the time to research it. From what I read, it seems that it isn't possible - that it's hard coded. The reminder time may be configurable in those registry keys or by other means, but I saw nothing to suggest how to configure the snooze time and have no idea where to even begin. I'm comfortable with the registry, but those keys seem related to the reminder time default as opposed to the snooze time default and I don't want to mess around in there when I'm not sure what the key is even called if there is such a key available (let alone how to set the value) and I don't want to mess up the reminders when they are working just fine otherwise.

I'd rep you for your efforts (it's not your fault there is no way to do it and you got further than I did in finding close hits and clearly spent some time researching), but I've already done so recently and haven't found 15 people since then worthy of getting repped so you'll have to wait until I can do so again and you post something else worthy of rep (which I'm sure will be soon after I'm able to do so again).

Anyway, thanks again. I'm going to mark it solved as the answer is that it is not possible.
