    Excel 2007 Crashes Upon Open

    I'm running Vista x64 with SP2 installed. I am using Office 2007 - Student and Home. Whenever I open Excel 2007, it automatically hangs/freezes over 90% of the time. The workbook seems fine, but when I try to click into any cell, it's game over. The error message is below:

    Hi,

    I would suggest you remove excel from the office installation & then re-install it from within control panel, programs etc.

    Go to search,
    Type office diagnostics
    Follow the prompts and the problem should be diagnosed.

    I ran diagnostics and while one problem was fixed, it didn't solve the freezing/hanging problem. I spent an hour with MS help desk yesterday, to no avail. Next step is to reinstall the MS Office suite, as suggested.

    Try the reinstall. Be sure to remove all of the old install first. You may want to use revno.
    http://www.revouninstaller.com/
    When done download and clean up everything with ccleaner.

    Then reinstall
