    word(.doc) or PDF

    Hi.

I have microsoft works word processor and done my resume and emailed it to a company.

They sent me back an email saying that they could not open it up and to resend it using word(.doc) or PDF form.

My question is, does vista home premium 32 bit have this and how do i find it, or is this something i have to download?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    I use windows hotmail.

In Microsoft works does it give you the option to save it as..... a doc or pdf file?
If it does then send it to a friend to see if it opens for them.

This is a problem that I have seen before. The advice that I gave was to download and use the free open office. Its the same as word, except that its free.

Google for a wps to doc files converter.
There are also some " Online " wps to doc conversion you can try.

If you tell my what format you saved it as to begin with I'll find you a converter. But either way I recommend you follow Rich's idea and get Open Office. Very cool programs for free.

Wait, just save it as word 97-2003(doc). That's what they want, isn't it?

Hello Slammer. I saved it as works document(wps).

I can try to save it as word 97-2003(doc) and see what happens. The 97-2003 kind of threw me off as to it not being Word(doc).

Thanks for the reply. If that does not work, i will try the Open Office.

May I suggest, if it works or not, make a system restore point and then try open office.
If not liked you can system restore to remove it.
Same as Office 2010 which costs, but has a lot of features.
