reinstalled vista now no MS OFFICE

    Vista Home Premium 32bit.(Version 6.0.6002 Service Pack 2 Build 6002)

    reinstalled vista now no MS OFFICE

    Ok, so I had some persistent BSOD's and after trying to troubleshoot them here decided to reinstall vista. did that and everything went fine, or so I thought. I have just discovered that I now have no MS Office software. What gives?

    When you reinstall, programs are lost. You must reinstall it. You will need the key number too

    So MS Office is not part of the Vista install?

    No. Vista is an operating system, and Office is an application that must be installed separately after the OS.

    When you bought your computer, you should have been given a reinstall DVD

    Sorry to come off a little dumb here. Got the computer as a hand-me-down from my brother-in-law after my divorce which left me without my Mac and much poorer. Thought Office was built-in (new to the MS world). Sounds like I'm gonna have to pick-up a copy then.
