Yep. I previously had the 2003 and 2007 viewers and they worked just fine. I now have the 2010 viewer. The problem is that .pps is not shown in the file association list so that I can assign the viewer to it. As I said, .pps is shown in the registry. It is assigned to something there (I'm not on that machine right now) and might have to change it.
However, I have the Microsoft 2007 Office Home version installed which consists of Word, Excel and Outlook. It does have the trial version of the other apps, including power point. I've replaced file associations related to PowerPoint to the Viewer. I had to reinstall that after reinstalling Vista.
