| | missing update.inf file Hello, Can someone please advise. I have been unable to install any security, wmp and explorer updates for some time. Looking at the logs there seems to be trouble with the location of the update.inf file and this seems to tie in with other peoples problems on the newsgroup. However, on performing a file search to find the location of this file i find it does not exist, only in the downloaded updates. My question therefore is should this file be on the windows installed hard disk or should it exist only in the updates that are downloaded? If it should be there it points to my problem, although where its gone is a mystery to me as is what to do about it. If it shouldn't i obviously have to look elsewhere. Well i'm hoping someone can be of assistance here or i guess its rebuild time. Regards, -- Matt |
