In general terms, VWD 2008 allows you to build web sites from more of a developer's perspective, while Expression has more of a designer's perspective. Why not try it out? I am familiar with visual studio as I develop some software applications. as far as web goes, I am familiar with Front page 2000, which I have been using, but need to get away from because of the myriad of security issues with Front page. I was unsure if I should purchase Expression, or try to learn to use visual web developer, which seems to be more difficult.
