Vista - How do I change my text cursor icon back to normal?

My text cursor has changed from a vertical line to a large square black box.
How do I change it back?

Before anybody can address your question, or direct you to the correct

Is the changed cursor seen in all applications or just one? Which
application(s). What version and edition of Windows are you running?
