| | Visual Basic 2008 Autoincrement Build Number Hi, how do I configure my VB projects in VS 2008 that they automatically increment the build number as c# project do? Thanks in advance for any hint Adrian -- Adrian Miller |

| | Re: Visual Basic 2008 Autoincrement Build Number If it's anything like C# you should be able to open the AssemblyInfo.vb file that's in the project and change the version numbers to an asterisk. <assembly: Version("1.0.*")> Forgive me if my VB is incorrect, I'm a bit rusty with it. Can you set the version to a hard coded value (say "2.5.3.9") rather than an auto increment? Does this affect the resultant dll? Are you sure you're checking the dll that's being built. Perhaps a configuration change has changed the build directory and you are looking at an old version? (Check the modified date) Is your Assemblyinfo.vb set to something other than "compile"? Just a few thoughts... Jeff's solution should be correct -- Rory |

| | Re: Visual Basic 2008 Autoincrement Build Number Right click on the project in the solution explorer window, then goto the compile tag, now click on advancd compile options. Should be able to modify there.
