SP3

Today I received a MS Download for SP3. After downloading and installing my
desktop will not start up Windows at all. After reboot it asks how to startup
(normal - safe-last sucessful startup but does nothing except repeat how do I
want to Startup. This has rendered my desktop useless since it won't startup
windows

Re: SP3

If you look at the last word in my question you will know who knows. Windows
means windows.

Which hardly explains why you are asking about Win XP SP3 in a .NET
programming group.

As you appear to be using a web interface, start here to find an appropriate
group:

http://www.microsoft.com/communities...s/default.aspx

Click the + beside your language. then scroll down to Windows. In Windows,
open the Windows XP category, then find a group there to post in.

Re: SP3

I thought that I was in a group for general discussion for
windows XP. I am sorry if I irked those members of this group if I intruded
in your professional domain. Some of us wanting answers are not as savy as
others.

The update could have been for a program other than windows, with the
result being an unbootable system.

I would suggest that when you find the appropriate group to ask your
question, you ask with a little more civility. Being rude to people who
may be about to help you is never a great idea.

Wow! Way to ask for help. Since when did searching for 'xp' or 'windows'
when looking for a windows xp newsgroup require technical expertise?
