Missing Thread

I had a thread going on the topic of a Missing IE Desktop Icon. It had a
date of 6/1/2008. What happened to it? A useful discussion was happening.

Um, your message was only posted to microsoft.public.dotnet.general
which is certainly not an ASP.NET newsgroup.

There are plenty of off-topic threads in this group (and it sounds like
the thread would indeed have been off-topic here) due to unfortunate
placement on Microsoft's web pages.

Good point.

Ultimately, MS has done a really poor job naming these newsgroups.

It's in Internet Explorer General. If you are using the MS Website
connection (and I think google), you can click the username and see their
recent posts to find missing threads.
