.NET - Vista compatability

I'm running VS 2005 SP1 on XP Pro SP2 (soon to be SP3 :-) and I'm trying to
determine whether the software produced in this environment is "Vista
Compatible" - will it run without problems on Vista machines?

I've done quite a bit of searching, and everything I've found talks about
making VS 2005 compatible to run on Vista - that is, to develop software on
a Vista machine using VS 2005. Nothing appears to directly answer my
question above.

I certainly *want* to move to VS 2008 soon, but is that *required* in order
to produce Vista compatible software?

Thanks!

Emby

VS 2005 will run on Vista, with the VS 2005 SP for Vista applied.

You can do it, but you must beware that an application developed to use
Vista in some cases must use the must use the Vista Manifest.

Also with running and developing solutions in VS IDE, VS 200X must be
started an ran with Run as Administrator.

The key being to have the Vista specific patch installed to develop
properly.
