.net 3.5 setup bombs

Hi

When I try to install .net 3.5 framework on a windows 2003 sp1 server it
bomb with the following info;

AppName: setup.exe AppVer: 9.0.21022.8 AppStamp:47316ce5
ModName: sitsetup.dll ModVer: 9.0.21022.8 ModStamp:47316ce2
fDebug: 0 Offset: 000c3223

What is the problem and how can I fix it?

Thanks

Regards

Re: .net 3.5 setup bombs

I've looked around as much as I could - with just those details I'm not
sure what it is (if you use Live Search or Google for 'ModStamp:47316ce2'
or 'AppStamp:47316ce5' the only post that comes up is yours). I know I'm
not of much help in that regard, but your best bet is probably going to be
to contact MS Support and see if they can do anything - they'll probably
want to see the whole install log and such Good luck,

Bill

Re: .net 3.5 setup bombs

Hi

I uninstalled all previous versions, used the dotnet cleanup tool and then
installed dotnet3.5 and it worked fine. Cleanup tool was the key.

Thanks

Regards
