| | updating asp.net site I've recently assumed the responsibility of an application that was built by a previous developer. I do have experience in this area, but it's mainly with html. The application was built with visual studio.NET 2003 (ASP.NET web application). I had a couple of questions. When I open the project and replace an image on the page, do I have to build the project or would just saving the aspx file work? Could an example be giving to me as to when I would have to build the project? How should the live site be updated? If I make changes to default.aspx, do I just overwrite the default.aspx on the live site, or do I have to overwrite the dll in the bin dir as well? Thanks for the information. |
