| | ACPI Intelppm.sys delete XP Pro SP2 We are running an non PPM ACPI Supermicro MB with a newly installed power supply. Attempts to encode video to compressed formats have created poor processor performance with extremely high Kernel actively from Intelppm.sys consuming upwards of 47% of CPU time and Ntoskrnl using 37% per Kernrate. Page file size is 2303 MB on C: drive 12836 MB free. 12V DC CPU power to MB appears to be functional as all other applications execute OK & System Events are clear. What effect would deleting Intelppm have on this system ? Would a larger Virtual Memory assist? -- GT Jackson Station Manager WYCN tv13 Nashua |
