| | windows explorer very slow to come up in winxp //what to look for?// You need to find the correct newsgroup first. Try something with "windows" in it. This is a group for DotNet developers/programmers using the DotNet framework. Good luck with your search. | | RE: windows explorer very slow to come up in winxp I have got the same problem. Windows Explorer just started to go slow. It takes 10+ seconds to load. The directory tree comes up quickly but navigating the folders is really painful. Did you have any luck finding out what causes it. | | RE: windows explorer very slow to come up in winxp I did fix my problem. It was because i had a mapped drive that did not exist any more on the network. As soon as I disconnected the drive it is now fine. "SimonMarkBrown" wrote: Quote: > > I have got the same problem. Windows Explorer just started to go slow. It > takes 10+ seconds to load.
