| | Windows cannot find "'C:\Documents'. I am having terrible problems with error messages when I turn on my PC. I'm getting the following error messages, in this order... Windows cannot find "'C:\Documents'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click Search. Desktop Could not load or run "'C:\Documents' specified in the registry. Make sure the file exists on your computer or remove the reference to it in the registry. Windows cannot find 'and'. In Windows, open the category for your version of Windows, then find a group there to post in. |

| | RE: Windows cannot find "'C:\Documents'. That symptoms are compatible with the behaviour of a Trojan. The file Manager.exe in C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Adobe will show as not having an icon, or author information and everything else. Delete it. It is not from an Adobe product Download Sysinternals Suite from http://www.sysinternals.com and run autoruns.exe to cleanup your registry manually. I hope this helps. That trojan has a bug and was not installed correctly, so it gives errors, for your luck. If it was coded correctly you would be already infected. Google for malware +Manager.exe and you will find some info about that. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click Search." and when I turn off my computer there are several messages that pop ups and then it turns off the computer... I tried following the suggestions above, but I can't seem to be finding the 'RUN' file from the registry. or when I click FIND NEXT, It doesn't show any results... Please help me, I got this virus when I inserted my friends USB into my computer, and then the next time I turned it on, it started showing. By The Way, my operating system is windows XP. As you appear to be using a web interface, try this: http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/ In the tree on the left, open English, then open Windows. In the Windows subcategory, find and open the Windows XP subcategory, and find a group there for your post. You can also use your favorite search engine to find anti-virus and anti-malware forums. |
