bullguard not compatible with vista sp1

i am using vista home premium on a AMD DUAL CORE +5000 64live and "BULLGUARD
INTERNET SECURITY" came with my software package and i have found that it is
not compatible with VISTA and the update to service pack 1 in vista ,once
sp1 is downloaded and additional updates with bullguard my vista becomes
unresponsive it will hang and freeze the whole system becomes in a way
"stupid". even system restore does not solve the issue programs will become
unresponsive and eventually i get a white haze on the whole screen .after
exstensive reboots and system restiores as well as uninstalled programs i
have found the only solution was to remove bullguard internet security
package once done my pc ran like a champ .If you are haveing such a problem i
highly suggest removeing the bullguard but to do so u must remove it in
safe mode or bullguard will think it is being attacked by a virus and wont
allow u to remove it .other noticeable problems b4 sp1 updates was IE7
shutdowns or extreme slow response to opening programs such as IE7 . i hope
this post helps anyone who may have this problem and save them many hours of
headachs ...this is in no way a attack on bullguard im sure it is a good
program and may work well for other vista users as well as xp users this is
only a solution to a problem i have solved on my pc.

Re: bullguard not compatible with vista sp1

Hi j-026,

thanks for your report!

First off, we don't have a known general compatibility issue between BullGuard and Vista SP1.

However, we find your report very interesting and would like to dig deeper into it. It certainly sounds like there's an issue somewhere - perhaps there's a hardware component causing an incompatibility with BullGuard, or another piece of software that makes BullGuard act up.

I encourage you to contact our Head of Quality Assurance, Remus Constantin, to look deeper into the potential issue. You can reach him at remus at bullguard dot com.

This would of course require some time on your side, but if we get to the bottom of it, we're here to give you some free protection for years ahead

Kind regards

Re: bullguard not compatible with vista sp1

sorry theis if my post seemed to be an attack on bullguard .it was in no way
ment to be an attack on bullguard ,just a helpful post to a ongoing problem
with mt pc .there was also instances with bullguard before the sp1 download
and was advised by pc builder to ether wait for a fix or remove it
..originaly my browser for ie7 would shutdown alot and other than a few
other bugs it was only considerd a nusense to me but upon down loading the
sp1 i would not be able to get any program to respond so i removed a
program at a time untill eventually i had removed bullguard upon doing so my
pc became responsive and no further uninstalles were nessassary if u wish i
can post or email you of the step by step problems and solutions i have
taken for any further help to resolving this issue and to take any
nessassary steps to improve the compatibility of bullguard and programs
