How to find the registry number of a folder

I have lost access to one of my folders, and have been told that I can
recover it by deleting its registry and renaming it. How does one go about
doing this?

Re: How to find the registry number of a folder

You probably need to find a newsgroup with the name "windows" in it.

This is a group for DotNet programmers and developers.
