OUTLOOK 2003

Outllok has started attaching a file to my e-mails.
It does not show as an attachment on the mail in SENT ITEMS, i only see it
if someone replies to my e-mail. the attachment is then there.

Can anyone suggest what to check please.

Thanks
Neil

Re: OUTLOOK 2003

It could be an image you are using for your signature, or it also can happen
if you are using an electronic certificate to sign your messages.
Some clients pick up those embedded images as attachments. If they reply to
you they are sent back as attachments.

I hope this might answer your question

I forgot to mention, the files (and they are different ones) seem to be from
a particular folder where i save scanned documents. So each time outlook is
selecting a different file, but from the same folder.
The Signature doesn't appear to have anything there that shouldn't be.

Thanks again

Can we assume you have up-to-date anti-virus and anti-malware software
installed, and that you've performed complete scans?

i have resolved the issue.
As you mentioned the signatures possible being involved i deleted my auto
signature and created a new one. This seems to have stopped the attachments.
the original did have two images in it, so i dont know if that was the
cause, but the signature had been ok for many months!

I do have AVG and Spybot S&D and Spywareblaster installed, updated and scan
daily.

Thanks for your help and pointing me in the right direction.
