| | Web email attachment associations in Vista Greetings, This question does not seem to fit any of the forum headers so I picked the most general sounding forum I could find. My laptop is running Vista Ultimate. I use yahoo.com for business email and use their web based email client for my business account. Yesterday I received an email with a .pdf attachment. When I went to save the attachment the browser window refreshed but no dialog appeared asking me if I wanted to Open or Save the file. No error message, no strange behavior, just wouldn't bring up the dialog for Open/Save. Last month .pdf attachments were downloading fine from my email (I received several in October). I went to a different email with a text attachment and it downloaded just fine. I then went to several emails from last month that had .pdf attachments and not one of them would download. Adobe Reader 9 is installed and working. When I view .pdf files in Explorer they have the Adobe icon associated with them and they open fine when clicked. Any help with this matter (even redirection to the correct forum) would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Dale Hoffman |

| | Re: Web email attachment associations in Vista You need to find a newsgroup with "windows" in it or similar. This is a group for dotnet developers (and programmers)....not a general windows discussion forum. Good luck.
