Christmas Present I cannot use PCTV

Hi,
I have a new HP Windows Vista computer 64 bit. Every time I try to use the PCTV it says I need to install .NETFramework2.0 when I do that it tells me the PMCloader.exe has stopped working.

What am I doing wrong? What is missing. I am getting very aggravated .

Thank you for any help you can offer!

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

Download that and install it.

NOTE, the above link is the 64 bit version, which you say you have.

....................

The DotNet Framework is a component that allows many different
vendors/people to write code for your use.
Its a "core piece" and most times, it should be on the machine, especially a
Vista machine.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.NET_Framework
That can explain it better than I can.

I would download and install it (or repair it if that comes up as an option)

It sounds like a lot of their customers are agravated.

Their forum is probably a better place for your question, as this is for
..Net programming questions. It sounds like your issue is with the PCTV, and
not .Net.

PCTV Christmas Gift Problem

Thank you for all of your help. I finally went to YouTube and there I found many actually very helpful ways of getting my PCTV to work with Vista. It was my stupidy that lead to not being able to properly install it.

It was very simple once I went into the proper area (windows media center). All I had to do is attach the PCTV and it walked me through it step by step and at the end I was in fact able to get TV on my computer. Totally amazing. Took all of about 20 minutes.

Hope this helps with everyone's problems in the future. When in doubt check out YouTube...somebody certainly will have put on a video to help you. In two days I have learned what kind of router to buy for wood working and now how to intally PCTV.

Thanks, again.
