a disk read error has occured press CTRL ALT & DEL TO RESTART

i get the Constatnt above error at random times with my windows xp
professional (intergrated sp2) when i Boot up at first i thought it may have
been my 1st Drive seagate 500gb SATA 2 had less or just over 6 months so i
took it out (in process of returning for diagnostic testing) got another
drive Brand New but a maxtor 250GB in hope for more reliability re installed
windows on that and by a shock it did it again on a brand new drive ime
thinking there may be a million to one chance it couldnt happen

when it lets me get into windows it runs as sweet as a nut

i have tried the following

.. change the SATA cable
.. move the SATA cable to another SATA port
.. move the drive to another drive bay
.. Update Chipset Drivers
.. Bios is up to date
