| | Re-start to get back on-line after stand-by Hey there. Can anyone tell me why I have to do a re-start to go back on-line if my pc goes in stand-by mode for an hour or more ? I'm running xp and I've tried everything I can think of to fix the problem. Any settings or whatever, that anyone can think of to fix this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks -- Donny Johnson |

| | Re: Re-start to get back on-line after stand-by stand-by, hibernate, sleep, etc, etc... all these are known to cause problems. Actually I'm not so sure about the sleep option that comes with vista OS, i've heard that it is less prone to crashing the system. I know on my laptop there is a power setting that can turn my network card off after a certain amount of time... Maybe this is something you can investigate. goodluck.
