setting the level of detail in Open File menu

It's annoying to have to alter the level of detail each time I open a file in
Word, Excel or Powerpoint. What I desire is to have up to the Name Size Type
and especially Date Modified show up when I open a file in any of those
programs EVERY TIME I open a file.
PC World had a fix for this years ago for an old version of Office.
I spend an incredible amount of time each day working with the Open menu to
get to this level of detail

Re: setting the level of detail in Open File menu

But for sure this will not be solved as long as you send messages about this
do a developer newsgroup.

Don't expect to much from it, however this is created for your kind of
problems.

Re: setting the level of detail in Open File menu

Probably not in a .NET programming discussion group, but you can find an
appropriate Windows group this way.

As you appear to be using a web interface, start here:

http://www.microsoft.com/communities...s/default.aspx

In the tree on the left, first open the English category, then open Windows.
In Windows, find and open the category for your version of Windows.
There, you'll find a group to post your question.
