SCCM for heterogenous network

Please let me know whether we can able to configure SCCM 2007 for
heterogenous network as we are having heterogenous network with windows XP,
windows professional, 2003 server, 2000 server, linux systems, solaris system
and many workgroup systems.

For workgroup systems that even after installing the SCCM client agents
unable to detect those systems in the management console.
