Bad entry in Shim-Database

Hello,

is there a way of removing a bad entry from the system Shim database
%SYSTEMROOT%\AppPatch\sysmain.sdb?

I am the developer of a POP3 service, which runs fine under NT up to
Windows Server 2003, but cannot be started on Windows Server 2008,
because my POP3D.EXE is confused with "Prince of Persia 3D" by Windows
Server because of an entry in the Shim database which tries to load
gameux.dll (obviously not available under Windows Server).

Is there a way to get rid of this problem, either by telling Windows
Server 2008 to ignore the Shim database for my service or to remove the
entry from the Shim database?

I'd rather prefer not to rename my service, because there are several
hundred installations running the service.

Thanks in advance,
Daniel
