Desktop Problems

Hello....My father bought me a Emachine computer (Model T3626) back in 2007,
so, as can be expected, my computer was filled with many files and folders of
all things important and unimportant! This morning I was trying to type up a
research paper and I noticed that my computer was moving very slowly...so I
decided to delete evrything that the computer would let me without needin an
administrator code or without deleting anything really important. The
computer, however, failed to tell me that I was deleting my desktop! Now I
cannot save anything to my desktop and it pops up: "C:/Users/Family
Computer/Desktop refers to a location that is unavailable". Family Computer
is the division of the computer that this catastrophe happened on. I just
need some help as to what I can/should do to get the desktop back.....

Re: Desktop Problems

Hi This is a developers newsgroup.

However what you ask is simple a folder on the C drive.

As you don't know how to get it back, then it is probably better to find an
English newsgroup with the operating system system name in it that you are
using.
That it is has to be an English newsgroup is because of the fact that
C:/User can be different if an other natural language that is used.
