SetDataSource very slow in crystal reports

Hi,

Using the SetDataSource with a dataset is very slow.
This is a know issue by SAP.
There is also a fix available, but only for the full crystal reports version.

Is there a fix available for the crystal report included in visual studio
2008 (sp1 doesn't fix it)

Thanks
Bart

I've experienced the same issue. Unless SAP/Business Objects provides the
patch for the VS version, it won't be fixed. Every time I've ever tried to
ask the Business Objects people about CR issues, they always gave me the
same answer: "License the full version and all your problems will go away."
(at least, that was the jist of every response). So, IME, don't hold your
breath waiting for SAP/Business Objects to help.

Re: SetDataSource very slow in crystal reports

Peter,

Is this not an issue for Connect, I am not aware of laws in this of the USA
(maybe it are even separated state laws), but here in the complete EU the
one who sold it too you is responsible for the product (Sap is an EU
company, moreover Germany and that is one of the 6 founding states).

In this case Microsoft is the reseller.

As I understand you well, then Sap has sold to Microsoft a product, while
Sap tells now to the Microsoft customers that they have sold a lousy
product.
I don't write direct here what I think about that, but I assume that you
understand what it would have been.

Please correct me if I understand this wrong?

Cor
