After installing IE8 several of my taksbar gadgets now have an extremely
annoying pink background (weather & calendar). Any suggestions?

Yes. Try asking in a discussion group related to Internet Explorer. This
group is a .NET programming group.

I see you guys have more than a week waiting for an answer, I do have the same problem IE8 support hasn't helped me

Why you think they are waiting.

They have asked it probably to a newsgroup about IE 8 and not like Peter
told to a developers newsgroup.
Developers are simple users of IE, they are seldom busy with the gadgets.

But the others have probably already the answer, maybe you can ask it as
well in an IE newsgroup.
