| | double click slow to open file in XP 2002 SP3 PC is HP Pavilion w/ Intel 6600 Core 2 CPU @2.40 GHz w/am Running Xp 2002 Prof SP3 Office 2003 Prof SP3 When double click on file takes 1 1/2 to 3 minutes to open. Right click file takes nearly a minute to bring up properties. Open App and navigate to file opens immediately. All office, PDF, even task manager seem to be affected. Have tried uninstall/re-install Office and Adobe, tried a restore, all to no avail. Am being advised by 3rd party tech service to wipe, reinstall XP and all other programs. Is there a FIX??? beyond their suggested extreme measures??? |
