| | Cannot create new project I just got this problem today. I tried to create a new project and added a new windows form. Each time I try to resize the form, it says "The file exists". I also get this error when trying to rename controls in the property window. Can someone please help? |

Are you attempting to resize the first or second form, and are you attempting to do so using the sizing handles or by changing values in the Properties window? While we're at it, how about telling us which version and edition of Visual Studio you are using under what version of Windows? |

| | Re: Cannot create new project It is a windows form project with just 1 form. It is a new form. I've not even save the project, just trying to resize using the handles. It is VS 2008 Pro running under Win XP pro with SP3. I've create other projects (3) in the last few weeks without any problem. This just started in the last 2 days. Thanks.
