    PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA + Winload.exe

    Alrighty.

My computer (Toshiba Satilite, VISTA HOME PREMIUM 32bit...) has crashed recently...
It crashed then I restarted it. And it said. "BLAH BLAH BLAH Winload.exe is missing or corrupt". I tried reseting to factory defaults but it didn't work. Soon after that, I changed my BIOS settings and put the cd drive at the top and inserted my Windows Vista Home Premium Installation Disk. After that I got, PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA. It waas a blue screen thing. I tried many commands in the repair promt bootrec.exe /fixmbr
bootrec.exe /fixboot, but they didn't help any. I've been looking around and I have found things like it may be a bad stick of ram or my hard drive. I'm not sure which one. Any help?

    Hi,

You're probably asking in the wrong place. This is a programmer's newsgroup,
designed to answer questions about .NET programming.

However, a couple of comments. First of all, yes, resetting to "Factory
defaults" will normally wipe everything. This is expected behaviour (most
programs will issue dire warnings to this effect when you try to do a
'factory reset'). It should be a 'last ditch' attempt once everything else
has failed (or after you've backed up everything on your system, and just
don't care any more). If you've done it, and things still aren't working,
then you likely have some bad hardware. My bet is on bad RAM.
