| | getting cr/lf out of xml with linq to xml? I have a line that looks like this in an mfc dll that has clr support enabled with .net 3.5 selected. strReport is a CString object in the main mfc app pointed to by pmain. I am reading it back out of an xml file using linq to xml. in the xml file the cr/lf pairs are ok and it displays fine in notepad. When i read it back out of the XElement they get filtered which gives me big run on strings in notepad. pmain->strReport=CString((String^)xml->Element("strReport")); I think i was being fooled by the debugger text display into thinking that the xml element value was ok, but i think from further reading that it is the load from file where the cr/lf pairs get lost. Is there a way to load from the xml file to preserve cr/lf pairs in elements??? |
