When I go to microsoft updates I get the following message "this website
wants to run the following add-on and then I click on run active x and
nothing happens. How can I fix this problem? I also get a message to install
active x but i cannot see an option to download this program. thanks

There is a discussion group specifically for Windows Update issues, and I
suggest you post your question there, rather than in this .NET programming
group. Here's how to find it.

In the tree on the left, open English, then open Windows. In the
Windows subcategory, find Windows Update and post your question there.
