Which version of Windows and Visual Studio? What type of project? What is
the source of the image you are adding to the button?
When I add an image, using any of the Microsoft .ico files readily available
in the installed OS (Win 7 for me) to a Button control in a VB or C#
Winforms project, the background defaults to transparent.
