Re: temporary internet files

Hi chneedshelp,

Welcome to Vista Forums.

I'm not sure what your problem is exactly. Have you checked the Temporary Internet Files and History Settings to see if they are set properly for what you want?

Internet Explorer Temporary Internet Files Settings

Can you give any more details on what it is or not doing?

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Re: temporary internet files

chneedshelp,

Not sure by what you mean that they will not show, but this will show you how to find them to see them and how to change the settings.

Re: temporary internet files

The Cookie link above will show you the location of the hidden cookie files and how to unhide them to see them at the top of the tutorial.

It will make it harder to find a folder without knowing it's name, but it can be done with time and alot of searching. You can look at some of the Advanced Search tips here to help find it quicker.

Re: temporary internet files

It appears that it could be a user settings file/folder for another user account on your computer.

Hi , I did everything you told me to do still no cookies .I like for that to work so that I can tell were my kids have been on my computer
chneedshelp,

You can use the View Files button to see the Internet addresses that were visited. This will show you how.

Internet Explorer Temporary Internet Files Settings

Just make sure that you do not have any 3rd party programs set to automatically clear the internet browsing history, or there will be nothing there to see.

Hope this helps,
Shawn
