webcam and webpages problems...

i have recently bought an ADEVENT 9515 laptop which has AMD TURIONtm 64x2 TL60 2.0GHz 2GB ram and vista home premium VGA out 1.3M pixel webcam built in, etc etc but we have been having problems with our webcam, we had it working once, ever since then whenever we try to use it, it crashes our windows live messenger which is a shame to have it and not be able to use it. also we keep having problems with web pages loading, we keep getting "the page cannot be displayed" etc. sometimes if we flush the dns it works, but not all the time.

can anyone help me please as im not the most computer literate person.
