| Newbie | Downloading and browsing the net leads to "limited connectivity" If I'm downloading a big file update for say world of warcraft or downloading HTTP log files from my FTP server for my website and I'm browsing webpages, I lose my internet connection. I look down at the network icon in the bottom right corner and it has a yellow flag on it saying "Limited Connectivity". However, if I download and do not browse and let it sit there, it downloads just fine and I do not lose internet. When it says limited connectivity, I cant browse any websites, my download stops completely and I have to right click on the network icon and choose Diagnose and repair. And I've tried the other 3 options there at this point, the only work that fixes it so I can download and/or browse again is "reset local area connection". Then if I start downloading and browsing again after a few minutes I get the Limited Connectivity again. There has to be something in Vista x64 that thinks there is an attack or something going on and shuts down my network or something. I have updated my ethernet card to the latest drivers, disabled sleep mode for the ethernet card, cleared out all cache and cookies, reset winsock, I'm out of ideas on how to fix this annoying problem. -Codemaster |

| Newbie | Re: Downloading and browsing the net leads to "limited connectivity" I managed to fix my problem, by finding a CORRECT version of my driver for my onboard Ethernet adapter. It took a while to find the PROPER driver, but once I found it, I havent had to "reset" the internet connection since. -Codemaster |
