sharing accounting software

I want to have my business accounting package on both my desktop and laptop. To install it on the laptop I have to do a netinstall from program files on desktop, however eventhough I have shared my C drive it will not allow me access to any folders other than "public".My laptop is running XP Pro.
This worked fine when both pcs were XP.

Re: sharing accounting software

Hello hfionn and welcome to VistaX64!

Its because Simple File Sharing is enabled under Folder Options on XP if you disable the entry then reboot you should be prompted for a username/password once your logged on you should have no problems accessing the other shared folders.
