Help Connecting To A Network Automatically

I've got a desktop that runs XP and a laptop that runs Vista. I have a home network that was set up and running fine until last week. I took the laptop on a business trip for internet access on the road. Now that I'm home, I can connect to the internet via the laptop, but I have to search for the network and enter the pass key every time. The "connect automaticly" button is even clicked, yet that doesn't do it. I just want to click on the internet and it come up. Any ideas?
