| Parental Controls Error I've had this error since I got the computer about a year ago. "Unable to make changes to parental controls settings. If this problem persists, see your system administrator." I have two children. The first child's account is labeled 'Standard User, Parental Controls ON, Password Protected.' I've been able to access the Time Limits section and make changes, but get the message immediately afterward. I could also access the game ratings to allow section with the same result. When I click on her account icon and click on web restrictions I immediately get the message above and can make no changes whatsoever and the screen immediatly reverts back to the main Parental Controls screen. My second child's account is 'Standard User, no password' As soon as I click on his user icon I get the message and the screen immediately reverts back to the main Parental Controls screen. I've tried changing my administrative password, I've tried creating a new standard user and I've tried giving my son a password with no change in error messages. Any input would be really appreciated. Thanks. |

| Re: Parental Controls Error Well, I've been hesitant to install Service Pack 1 because the Microsoft site says specifically not to install onto just one computer. I have all of the Updates installed, though. Is it your opinion that I should install the SP1 anyway? Thanks for your help. |
