Local Vista user profile copy to AD (Serv2003)

Hey everyone.
I recently set up a domain consisting of Server 2003 as the DC and Vista Ultimate x64 as client. What I'm interested in is if it's possible (and how) to copy an existing local user profile on Vista to the domain. I've searched for any option that would do just that or similar but found nothing.
Thanks for the help.

Hi ogreus,

Its not possible to copy a local profile onto a Domain server because of the security restrictions placed on profiles by the Server...You can copy the files over but not the settings because they would be totally different to what the AD uses...Have you tried using roaming profiles?

Re: Local Vista user profile copy to AD (Serv2003)

Was afraid of that.
Yes I have but it didn't do the trick. The closest I got was to use Easy Transfer, set the existing profile as the "old computer" and export the settings to a file but when I logged onto the new profile it wouldn't let me run Easy Transfer because that profile is not an administrator even though it's a member of Administrators and Domain Controllers groups on the domain.
