| Is drinking tea. |  Shared folders and printers How do you get access to shared folders and printers on a wireless network? I've shared the folders on the desktop pc and set all the folders to be co-owned by everyone, the printer is shared yet Vista won't let my laptops can't open the folders or connect to my printer attached to the desktop. The laptops shows up on the network but I get \\xxxx\xxxx is not accessible. You might not have permission to use the network resource. ........ The specific network name is no longer available. They are all set to be Private networks and the workgroup name is the same on all computers. What more do you have to do! regards, Paul |

| Is drinking tea. | Re: Shared folders and printers Just Windows firewall. BTW I can see the desktop computer from the laptop and when double click see all the 'shared' folders but they will not open. The desktop sees the laptops and CAN open the shared folders on the laptop. Confused! |
